Locally made light rye sourdough


Made locally by award winning sourdough micro-bakery Mouthwater foods.

This "Batard" loaf is baked "freeform" in a stone deck oven. Made with Rye flour making up about 10 % of its flour content, it has an earthy taste that's welcoming and not overpowering. This percentage of rye enables good "oven spring" and a medium level of "airiness" in the bread- which helps stop your jam or spread falling through the holes.

Ingredients: Flour mix (unbleached white 90%, rye 10%), water, sourdough starter, salt, semolina flour.

May contain traces of: tree nuts, milk, and sesame seeds.
